ACCOMMODATION

Enjoy atmospheric accommodation in the former dormitory of the students and personnel of the Institute of Central Finland. Situated in the peaceful wilderness of Suolahti, Old School Accommodation offers housing in an environment true to its tradition - our rooms include a private bathroom, yet the kitchen and living room are shared. The rooms are modest and minimalistic, representing the functionality and efficiency of their prior purpose.

LOCATION

Excellent location, the new world's most energy efficient ice rink is just a 2 minute drive away (1 kilometre), and Valtra Factory just a 5 minute drive away (4,2 kilometres).

The local beach Suokki aka Suojärvi Beach is right next door just a few minute walk away. We also have our own private beach, where customers can freely borrow our rowing boat.

In need of long-term accommodation?

Workers on secondment or assignment, and others in need of long-term accommodation are also welcome. We rent out rooms for long-term use both to companies and private individuals.

SERVICES

FREE PARKING

We offer free parking close to the accommodation. Cars can temporarily be parked in front of the doors when checking in.

FREE WI-FI

We offer free WI-FI inside the buildings. Some rooms are also equipped with a super-fast optical fibre connection, accessible with an ethernet cable.

PETS ARE WELCOME

All kinds of furry and non-furry pets are allowed and very welcome.

EASY AND FLEXIBLE CHECK-IN

Check-in starts at 15:00 (3 pm), however, on request earlier check in is typically possible. We do not have a reception, so the location of the keys will be given by text message, which makes it possible to arrive late at night as well.

SAME THING AT CHECK-OUT

Check-out at 12:00 (12 pm) at the latest. However, flexibility is possible with regard to this as well, if necessary. When checking out, you can leave the key to your room on the desk in the room and leave at you own schedule.

NO MEAL SERVICES, FULLY FUNCTIONING KITCHEN AT YOUR DISPOSAL

We do not offer meal or catering service, however, there are fully functioning shared kitchens, which are equipped with an oven, a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave oven, coffee maker, electric water boiler, as well as pots, frying pans and other cooking equipment. Plates, bowls, cups and cutlery are also found in all shared kitchens.
